Most people are wasting years of their lives, without even realising it.
It may not seem like much at the time, but that one hour episode per night is costing you 3.3 years of your life.
That's continuous time - not including sleeping, toileting, eating or socialising. Just time spent watching your show.
First you take the amount of hours spent on the activity (in this case 1) and divide that by 24 (the amount of hours in the day). You take that number (0.0417) and times that by the average life expectancy (80 years).
The result tells you the amount of years of your life you will spend on that activity, in this case, 1 hour per day equals 3.3 years.
3 hours per day equals 10 years of your life.
This of course presumes that we will continue to do the same behaviors for the rest of our lives. Unrealistic I know, but the point is to demonstrate how much time what you're doing now would cost you over your lifetime.
Every minute counts. That casual 5 minutes playing Ballz, Color Switch, Temple Run, Clash of Clans, Agar.io or the next viral game will ultimately cost you 101 days of your life (trust me ... or do the math!). Imagine how strong you could get if you instead did 5 minutes of push-ups daily?
Time is the one resource that we can't get back. The choice is yours to choose how you spend it.
How much time are you wasting on things that are not important to you?
