POETRY
Living expressions of inner work. Offered as a glimpse of the process towards radical self-acceptance, healing, and growth.
Life To Avoid
Coffee to wake
Instagram to connect
Porn to cum
Alcohol to relax
Weed to create
Coke to play
MDMA to love
News to inform
Sugar to distract
Mushrooms to pray
Valium to calm
Melatonin to sleep
Life to avoid

Flee
All it takes
For me to flee
Is a sharp look
From you
Directed at me

escape their fate
souls entwined
with a desire
to escape their fate
ancestors
collectively mourning
lost childhoods
disparate people
drawn together
by shared suffering
stumbling
forward
into a new life
fleeing their pasts
unwittingly creating
their futures
they know
what not to do
but not what to do
attempting to avoid
the same mistakes
their parents made
desperately praying
for their children
to escape their fate

Running
I’ve been running
For so long
That I’ve forgotten
What scared me
In the first place
