POETRY
Living expressions of inner work. Offered as a glimpse of the process towards radical self-acceptance, healing, and growth.
Work Life Balance
Attempting to balance
Work and life
Just seems like another job
I don’t have time
To complete
Attempting to balance
Work and life
Just seems like another job
I don’t have time
To complete

Foul Mistress Of Time
Release me
From these binds
Oh foul
Mistress of time
Let me
Deduce
The fountain
Of youth
The master
Crafts a puzzle
Then finds
The key
Sit and watch
The stone
To see
If it grows
We are born
A ticking clock
But die
A broken camera
The moment is
Only gone
When we
Fail to remember

Worthy
Perhaps
With time
I’ll be able
To change myself
Enough
To be worthy
Of your love
Because
I know
Who I am
Right now
Isn’t even
Worthy enough
To be
In your presence

a waterfall shaping rock
thoughts
relentless
a waterfall shaping rock
each drop
trivial
yet collectively
devastating
time
forms ruts
inescapable
consciousness
relentless
a river scarring land
each choice
trivial
yet collectively
devastating
thinking patterns
guiding future
flow

Behind A Smile Lies Darkness
Looks can be deceiving,
Behind a smile lies darkness,
An illness invisible.
Laughing through sorrow,
Acting through pain,
Lying to survive.
Learning to pretend,
Saying the right words,
Diverting attention.
I’m fine.
I’m just tired.
It’s nothing.
Don’t worry.
I’ve got this.
It’ll pass.
Self imposed exile,
Hiding from the world,
Hiding from myself.
Time to think,
Time to regret.
Time to practice my smile.
