12: What Depression Feels Like

depression rainbo

Zachary discusses his experience with depression.

In this episode you will hear about his experiences with depression, the symptoms and impact on his day to day functioning.

Part of this episode was recorded during a bout of major depression, which enables a first hand account of what it is like during a depressive episode, rather then a post hoc analysis from a state of normality.

"When I am depressed people want to cheer me up, which is a nice sentiment of course, but it doesn't address the issue completely. It is analogous to complaining that you cant understand a radio and to help, people keep raising the volume. You can hear it just fine, it is the tuning that is the problem"

If this episode has resonated with you, I would love your support.
