Wasting The Day Feeling My Emotions | Ep 231

Wasting The Day Feeling My Emotions | Ep 231
Zachary Phillips

Today I talk about the how it can take longer than you think to even begin to process emotions, particularly when you have a history of dissociation/trauma.

I begin the episode with the poem:
“by the time
i feel safe enough
to process my emotions
so much time has passed
between the event
and my response to it
that i fear being judged
as pathetic
or hypersensitive
thus i tend to close off
and instead suffer in silence
alone with all the emotions
i never learnt how to feel”

If this episode has resonated with you, I would love your support.
